There are multiple reasons why you should have your carpets cleaned. One of the biggest reasons is for your own health. It’s amazing how much dirt, allergens and debris hide in your carpet at all times. A vacuum only picks up so much while the rest hides in your carpet. Studies have shown that hot water extraction is the best method of removing everyday soils and pollutants. Once extracted, they are environmentally and carefully disposed of.

Another reason to get your carpets cleaned is for the overall care of your carpet. When dirt gets into your carpet, it acts like a piece of sand paper. Every time you walk on it, it grinds down the carpet fibers and wears them out. The carpet in your house is a huge asset and most carry a warranty. By getting your carpets cleaned, your warranty will stay true and you’ll be able to keep things from wearing out.

Another major reason to get your carpets cleaned is overall appearance. Most people get their carpets cleaned for this reason. Nobody likes dirty looking carpet and upholstery. It’s amazing what a little cleaning can do to make your carpets look brand new again!

Over time your carpet will wear down and it will have to be replaced which is very expensive. Dirt and debris in your carpet act like sand paper and wear the carpet fibers down as you walk on it. By getting your carpets cleaned at least annually, it will help the wear and tear significantly. 

The method we use for cleaning is hot water extraction, or commonly referred to as steam cleaning.  Carpets Plus hot water extraction removes the toughest, deepest dirt safely and gently.  The hot water is injected safely into your carpet and then a powerful suction extracts the deep-down dirt, allergens and cleaning solution leaving your carpets nice and clean.

A light vacuum is recommended but not required. As we clean, our equipment vacuums the entire time it cleans.

Every room is different due to how soiled the carpet is and if any necessary spot removal treatments need to be done. On average, it takes about 20 minutes per room.

After cleaning your carpet, we can apply a protectant to your carpet and upholstery. This product gives your carpet and upholstery fibers a protective coating that gives you more time to clean up spots and spills before they leak and soak into the fibers. This helps to keep your carpet and upholstery looking nice and clean.

This problem results from residues being left in the carpet which attracts dirt after cleaning. If soap used for cleaning is not extracted completely, this will result. Carpets Plus makes sure to double extract at all times to make sure that little to no residue is left in the carpet.

Although this almost never happens, every once in awhile the stain will wick back up through the carpet. If this ever happens, please give us a call at 435-789-9139 and we will be there to get things cleaned up.

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the removal of all spots and stains. There are substances that can permanently discolor the carpet fibers. The age and type of carpet also play a big role in this. We will do our best to get every spot out and will explain to you why if we can not. 

Dry time is affected by humidity, temperature and air flow to the area. On average, it takes up to 8 hours for your carpet to dry completely. Carpets dry a lot faster with good air flow in the room. We double extract your carpet which makes drying time go by a lot faster.

We prefer that the furniture is moved before hand. We are more than happy to help move anything that you are unable to move by yourself, but we prefer to have things ready to go when we arrive.

Most carpet manufacture warranties require that you get your carpet cleaned once annually.
